Mozzarella di Bufala

Fresh, delicate, and beautifully Canadian

Natural Pastures was the first cheese company in Canada to make Mozzarella di Bufala, bringing this traditional fresh cheese to life with rich water buffalo milk from British Columbia and Vancouver Island farms.

Our Mozzarella di Bufala is handcrafted on Vancouver Island using creamy water buffalo milk from McClintock’s, Coleman Meadows, and Tesla Farms in Surrey. Traditionally inspired and locally made, this fresh cheese is known for its porcelain-white colour, soft texture, and clean, milky flavour.

Made with A2 water buffalo milk, our Mozzarella di Bufala has a gentle richness and beautiful freshness that makes it perfect for simple, seasonal eating. It is soft, smooth, and lightly tangy, with a delicate creaminess that shines best when served fresh.

This is the cheese for ripe tomatoes, basil, olive oil, fresh bread, roasted vegetables, pasta, pizza, salads, or a West Coast picnic board. It brings a taste of tradition to the table, with the added story of Vancouver Island terroir, BC farming, and Canadian craftsmanship.

Ask for it at our Artisan Cheese Shop or check with your local retailer for current stock.

On Vancouver Island, food has a way of carrying the story of where it comes from. For Michael Tchao, his journey around the Island is not just about travel. It is about meeting the people, seeing the land, and understanding the care and the science, that goes into food before it ever reaches a plate. […]
  • Amsterdammer: The Summer Cheese That Fights With No One
Inspired by a German-style butter cheese, our Amsterdammer is mild, creamy, and wonderfully approachable. It has a gentle richness and a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture that makes it a favourite for young and old. Kids love it because it is mild and creamy. Adults love it because it pairs beautifully with so many foods and drinks. […]
